Naively, I thought that after the acceptance I would finally have time to relax and unpack all of the stress from the application process. Unfortunately, it’s not like that.
Preparing for my 2018 entrance into medical school has been a whirl wind of experiences.
This was my first time traveling alone and it was a little frightening. In these five days, I travelled up and down the country side, hiked in the Franklin Mountains State Park, explored the night life in El Paso, saw an art market in the Old Mesilla historic town, walked across White Sands, and nervously interviewed at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Shortly after I arrived home, I received the acceptance email. I spent several hours that night crying in joy. What an unbelievable journey it has been, thus far.
